Fundraising concert in Kings Langley for the Poppy Appeal

editorial image

The woman behind Kings Langley’s Poppy Appeal has organised a fundraising concert.

Parish Councillor Julie Barton and her volunteers helped smash the appeal’s fundraising record for the village in 2011 and they’re hoping to do the same this time around.

To help pull in the pounds RAF Halton’s band will be performing at the Kings Langley Community Centre in The Nap on Friday, November 2. Doors open at 7pm and the event will kick off at 7.45pm with an introduction about the Poppy Appeal and how the money raised is spent. There will also be a raffle. Tickets to the concert cost £10.

Last year the village alone raised £4,935 for the cause.

Volunteers are needed to help with door-to-door collections for the Poppy Appeal.

To purchase concert tickets or to lend a hand with the appeal contact Julie on 01923 270160.

Poppy Appeal helpers are also needed for other parts of Dacorum, call 01279 758220.
