Fire crews rescue people trapped in Hemel Hempstead lift

Fire crews were called in to rescue two people who were trapped in a lift.

Firefighters were called to the six-storey Lord Alexander House block of flats in Waterhouse Street, Hemel Hempstead, just after 8.50am today (Thursday).

The people were trapped on the fifth floor, but crews had managed to get them free within 20 minutes.
