Boxmoor Hall is celebrating five years in business by giving one lucky couple the chance to marry at the Hemel Hempstead venue for free.

After being left dormant due to lack of funding for three years, the building - built in 1889 - was purchased by Sally Ilsley who gave it an overhaul and reopened it on September 15, 2007.

It was officially opened by Alan Gray who was born in the hall.

Today, the venue hosts weddings, special occasions and offers dance, wellbeing and community events.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the hall is running an open weekend on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16 from 11am to 4pm.

To nominate a couple for the wedding venue prize, email info@boxmoorhall.co.uk. Include their names, when and how they met and no more than 100 words on why they should win. For full terms and conditions visit www.boxmoorhall.co.uk
