Electrical fire empties Bovingdon shop

A shop was evacuated today (Thursday) after staff saw smoke coming from its ceiling.

The blaze in the Co-operative Food Shop in High Street, Bovingdon, began just before 4.20pm, but firefighters had put it out within 30 minutes.

The electrical fire is believed to have started in a light fitting.
