Cash starts coming in for Sienna’s Christmas tricycle

MCHG 12-910 Six years old Sienna Hollick of Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead, is hoping to have a special tricycle for Christmas.

MCHG 12-910 Six years old Sienna Hollick of Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead, is hoping to have a special tricycle for Christmas.

A fundraising drive to buy a disabled youngster a specially made tricycle for Christmas has already attracted donations - one for a whopping £500.

Six-year-old Sienna Hollick’s parents have launched an appeal to raise £2,078 for the present, which will be especially made for the youngster, who suffers from West Syndrome.

Hearing the news of the bumper donation, Adeyfield mum Becky said: “That is absolutely overwhelming. To whoever it was from a massive, massive thank you, that is going to pay towards putting a big smile on a little girl’s face. The generosity of the general public has been incredible.”

At its worse, Sienna’s condition caused her to have up to 200 epileptic fits a day, but radical dietary changes have helped and Sienna has around one fit every two to three days. But the toll on her little body means she is partially sighted, unable to talk and with a mental age of around 10 months.

The family are around half way to the amount needed for the trike.

To boost the fund send cheques payale to Sienna Hollick to The Gazette, 39 Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1LH.
