A new Friednship Tea at Willow Edge, Kings Langley organised by Age Uk Dacorum.

Old folk were treated to cuppas and chatter at the launch of a new Friendship Tea. Age UK Dacorum kicked off the get-together at Willow Edge sheltered housing in Blackwell Road, Kings Langley on Wednesday.

Care services manager Sarah Hope said: “It gives older people a chance to get out, a lot of people we see only see their four walls during the day.”

Pensioners were entertained by Youth Action Entertainers, a volunteer group that aims to brighten the lives of older people.

The charity launched the new tea session because the one already running at Hemel Hempstead’s Phyliss Courtnage House is oversubscribed. Friendship Teas are also held at Shaftesbury Court in Northchurch and Emma Rothschild Court in Tring.
