Bovingdon Brickworks did not make it in to final cut of TV show

Bosses at a brickworks had hoped for a stint in the television spotlight last night.

But it seems filming at Bovingdon Brickworks ended up on the cutting room floor when the final editing for Channel 4’s Double Your House for Half the Price was carried out.

Property show presenter Sarah Beeny visited the brickworks with couple Edward and Louise Croft-Baker from Buckinghamshire who ploughed £200,000 into extending their home.

Workers at the brickworks, in Leyhill Road, helped the couple make some specialist hand-made ‘date’ bricks for the project.

Jon Driver, a supervisor at the brickworks, said: “Obviously there is a lot to get into a programme and they didn’t have space for us unfortunately.”
