Banning order first for Herts
Bradley Stantiford, 36, is the subject of a interim Violent Offender Banning Order, which means he cannot enter pubs, nightclubs, hotels in Herts, Beds, Cambs and Essex.
A MAN who was jailed for grievous bodily harm after jumping on and kicking another man at a party has now been banned from pubs, hotels, bars and nightclubs in four counties.
In the first order of its kind applied for by Herts Constabulary, Bradley Stantiford, 36, is prohibited from entering the establishments in Herts, Beds, Cambs and Essex.
The interim Violent Offender Banning Order was granted on Monday by Watford Magistrates Court and will run until March 16, 2012.
If Stantiford, pictured, who currently lives in Harlow, breaches the order, he could face up to five years in prison.
Detective Inspector Stuart Orton said: “These orders are a valuable tool to help protect the public.”

Monday, January 16, 2012 at 04:49 PMThere's nothing to stop him getting drunk at home and then going out and kicking someone's head in, so not exactly safeguarding the public is it? Maybe giving him a two year probabtion period once released where he is subjected to a pee test twice a week at a police station near him would be better. ?

Monday, January 16, 2012 at 09:53 AMWhilst I applaud the action if this man pauses such a danger when fuelled by alcohol is a two month ban really adequate? Hopefully it will be sufficient warning for him to seek help or temper his behaviour rather than going out on the lash as soon as the ban expires.
