Almost halfway to fixing dodgy boiler troubles

DEVELOPERS are almost halfway through repairs of dodgy boilers at a scheme of 82 flats.

Thirty-nine flues in the homes at Gadebridge Point in Hemel Hempstead are fixed and back in operation after all the boilers were switched off in March, amid carbon monoxide fears.

Hightown Praetorian & Churches Housing Association spokesman Emma Crump said 17 residents have so far been compensated for money spent on extra electricity used while their usual heating systems have been switched off.
