Air ambulance called on to help Hemel fall victim
The air ambulance crew was called in to help an elderly woman who had fallen over on Sunday morning.
Paramedics were called to Broad Street in Hemel Hempstead at 11.44am to reports that a woman, aged in her 80s, had taken a tumble.
East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Due to the woman being in extreme pain, Doctor Gaunt, who works voluntarily for London BASICS, and the air ambulance team were called upon to assist our crews already treating the lady at the scene. Following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation, the woman was taken by land ambulance to Watford General Hospital for further care.”
The air ambulance landed in Gadebridge Park.
