A unique chance to volunteer abroad

People are being recruited by a good cause to spend three weeks volunteering in either Bulgaria or France.

Community Action Dacorum is running two new volunteer exchange projects for people aged 50 and over.

In 2013 and 2014 the organisation will send six people to each country to lend a hand for free, including teaching English.

This opportunity is aimed at people who would not otherwise have the chance to travel aboard.

Applicants should be in good health, have an interest in community activity and be willing to play an active part in volunteering.

The cost of travel, accommodation and meals will be covered by funding.

The scheme follows successful programmes run in Cyprus and Italy. These will form part of a showcase for potential applicants at Gadebridge Community Centre on Thursday, November 22, running from 9.30am to 1pm.

The presentation will feature a briefing session for anyone interested in applying for the latest opportunities.

For more information or to apply for an application pack call 01442 253935 or email reception@

The closing date for applicants is December 12.
