02 outing for talented Lime Walk singers

Members of choir from Hemel Hempstead’s Lime Walk Primary School performed at the O2 Arena, London, when they took part in the national series of Young Voices concerts, sharing the stage with 7,000 other children from all over the South East, as well as the internationally-acclaimed African Children’s Choir and Britain’s Got Talent star Connie Talbot.
Under the direction of teacher Sarah Moreton the children, aged eight to 11, had to learn lots of songs in different styles to sing at the concert, including a pop medley, a rock medley, and the Golden Jubilee song ‘Sing’.
Lime Walk’s choir gives regular concerts to parents and friends at school, and in December they sang at St John’s Church, Boxmoor, helping to raise more than £2,600 for HOPE For Children at the locally-based charity’s annual Christmas concert.
