Following the success of the final stage of the Aviva Women’s Tour held in Dacorum in June, British Cycling and Sky, in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council, want everyone to get involved with Sky Ride Local in Dacorum.
The Aviva Women’s Tour prestige cycling event not only brought the world’s best women riders into the borough, but the grand finale was held in Gadebridge Park, in Hemel Hempstead.
If the Aviva Women’s Tour inspired you to dust off your bike and go for a ride, British Cycling is running a series of free bike rides.
With Sky Ride Local, all the planning has been done for you. British Cycling has found the best routes, trained up friendly ride leaders to guide and support you and picked some cracking places to visit along the way.
And with different levels on offer, you don’t need to be a pro rider to take part.
On Sunday, August 2, you can join the Local Pride 16-miler at 10am in Hemel Hempstead.
And on Sunday, August 9, there’s a nine-mile Wildlife and Wilderness ride at 10am in Berkhamsted.
Portfolio holder for resident and corporate services, Neil Harden, said: “Around 5,000 cycling enthusiasts gathered in Dacorum to show their support and enjoy the final of the Aviva Women’s Tour in June.
“If you were inspired by the talented riders, get on your bike and book on to one of Sky Ride’s or Breeze’s guided rides near you today.”
