The West End’s longest running comedy, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), comes to Berkhamsted Civic Centre for one night only on Friday.

Celebrating 400 years of Shakespeare, a cast of just three actors will endeavor to perform all 37 plays (plus 154 sonnets) in 97 minutes.

Attempting this theatrical feat are American bard boys Gary Fannin, William Meredith and Matt Rippy.

The Berkhamsted premiere of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) marks the launch of Berko Stage, a new theatre company made up of local theatre professionals dedicated to bringing quality theatre to the heart of Berkhamsted.

Director and actor Matt Rippy was a member of the Reduced Shakespeare Company for many years, appearing in West End productions and tours around the world.

The performance is in aid of Sunnyside Rural Trust who work in Hertfordshire with adults with learning disabilities through horticultural and practical activities.
