Health campaign's smoking success

A Herts County Council initiative encouraging pregnant women to give up smoking won a prestigious national award last week.

The Love Your Bump campaign was named Local Government Chronicle (LGC) campaign of the year.

According to NHS data, there were 1,007 babies born to Herts mothers who smoke in 2014/15. However the latest data saw this figure drop to 870.
