People retiring in Hertfordshire have the second-largest pension pots in the UK, according to new research.
The average pensioner has £87,882 in Herts has in their pot, according to Portal Financial.
But that figure varies widely across the county, with people in Hemel Hempstead having an average of £96,856, while their contemporaries in Tring have just £29,609.
The UK average is a pension pot of £63,387.
Jamie Smith-Thompson, managing director of Portal Financial, said: “Southern counties have the greatest pensioner affluence as do some of the popular seaside and countryside locations.”
