Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to after crooks burgled a house and stole jewellery.

The house in Sebright Road, Markyate, was broken into between 7pm and 8pm on Wednesday, November 18, said police today (Wednesday, December 23).

The offenders entered the property via a window and then stole a number of items of jewellery including a gold Benson wristwatch and a nine carat gold and sapphire ring.

It is believed the two men pictured were in the area around the time of the burglary, and may have seen something or have information that could assist the investigation.

Detective Constable Sam Casey said: “Whilst the CCTV image is not of the highest quality I’m hopeful that someone may recognise who the people are from their stature and build.

“If you do know who they are, please contact me.”

Anyone who knows the identity of either man, or has any information about the incident, should contact DC Casey on 101, quoting crime reference D1/15/7615.
