Get in the spirit for a party
MORE than 500 tickets have already been bought for Tring's massive music event and the organisers are offering discounts on prices for people who buy before the end of March.
Grass Roots has reported a great response to its announcement of the Spirit of Tring - Party in the Park, which will take place at the Grass Roots stadium, in Cow Lane, on Saturday, May 15.
All proceeds from the musical extravaganza will be distributed among local schools, sports clubs and the Court Theatre.
David Evans, chairman of Grass Roots, has set a fundraising target of 100,000 from the event, which he promises will be 'the biggest party Tring has ever seen'.
The line-up of acts currently features local band Soul Fish who will be followed by The Music of Queen - A Rock & Symphonic Spectacular.
It features songs from the West End musical We Will Rock You combined with an orchestra performing Queen's hits.
A symphony orchestra will play a full range of memorable classics and the evening will round off with a fabulous fireworks finale.
Tickets can be purchased from the website at www.spirit-of-tring.com with special Early Bird prices available until the end of March.
Tickets are priced at 25 per adult and 15 for a concession, but those who buy before the end of March can make a saving of 7 on the adult ticket and 6 on the concession ticket. All those purchasing tickets are also able to choose from a free two for one dining card or a Days Out voucher.
