The Acorn Wellbeing Centre, at 42 High Street in Hemel’s Old Town, is run by counsellor and complementary therapist Helen Lehrle (pictured above, far right) and was set up in nearby Alexandra Road in 2012.

Since then, it has gone from strength to strength and mum-of-three Helen, from Kings Langley, oversees a dedicated team of specialist therapists, offering physiotherapy, psychotherapy, massage, low-cost counselling and more.

Helen – who is a volunteer counsellor at the Hospice of St Francis – wanted to highlight the ways in which Acorn can help people with their mental health.

She said: “We hold our clients’ hands and work collaboratively with them. There is no waiting list and it’s completely confidential.”
