Rail passengers are reminded to check travel details before they use the trains over the Christmas period.

Reduced timetables will operate on various routes on Christmas Eve, with the frequency of train services being reduced from 1pm.

The last trains from major towns and cities are often very busy so London Midland are also advising passengers to travel earlier where possible.

No services will run on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

There will be a number of changes to services during the final week of December.

On Sunday, December 27 ,services between London Euston and Crewe will be affected by improvement works at Stafford.

On Monday December
28 services to and from Euston will operate a
Saturday service, while there will be no trains on the Marston Vale route from
Bedford-Bletchley.

Between December 29-31 trains to and from Euston will run a Saturday service, while trains from Bedford-Bletchley will only run every two hours.

Finally, on New Year’s Day, most of the London Midland network will run a Sunday timetable, although there will be no trains from Bedford-Bletchley.

Normal services will resume on Saturday,
January 2.
