Students' cultural learning day

African jewellery and music opened Kings Langley School students' eyes to the world around them.

Kings Langley School pupils made necklaces from African beads and banged traditional drums during a themed day.

All of Year 7 took part in broadening their knowledge of the continent, from its songs and poetry, to its social conditions.

Arts co-ordinator Joy Mendelsohn said: "It's about them having fun but also learning a lot at the same time."
