Smoothing the surface
A list of roads and pavements set for a makeover in the Hemel Hempstead area has been given by Herts County Council.
Work started earlier month, with a number of roads being patched and resurfaced. The rolling programme will work its way across the district, covering approximately 30 streets in total.
"We have had overwhelming feedback from Dacorum residents that improving roads and pavements is a top priority for them," said Stuart Pile, Executive Member for Highways and Transportation.
The county council says that Highways Extra has identified the following roads for resurfacing this year:
Watery Lane, Wilstone; Bell Lane, Berkhamsted; Clements End Road, Great Gaddesden; Nettleden Road, Nettleden; Wingrave Road, Tring; Church Lane, Bovingdon; Fernville Lane, Hemel Hempstead; Grange Close, Hemel Hempstead; Heath Lane, Hemel Hempstead; Fieldway, Berkhamsted; Malting Lane, Aldbury; Rucklers Lane, Kings Langley; Box Lane, Hemel Hempstead.
The following footways will also be resurfaced:
Lime Walk, Hemel Hempstead; Warners End, Hemel Hempstead; Bennetts End, Hemel Hempstead; Hollybush Lane, Hemel Hempstead; Wheelers Lane, Hemel Hempstead; Shenley Road, Hemel Hempstead; Mortimer Hill, Tring; Swing Gate, Berkhamsted; Love Lane, Kings Langley; Station Road, Tring; Peascroft Road, Hemel Hempstead.
