Flamstead annual show slideshow

They like things big in Flamstead and some prize specimens went on show at the 29th annual show in the village hall on Saturday (September 8).

One of the most successful exhibitors was Barry Pedder, who took the President's Shield for best flowers, vegetables and fruit. He also shared The Betty Timberlake Memorial Cup for vegetables with John Hobbs and won the Barry Peddar Cup for the heaviest marrow, weighing in at 30lb.

Other members of the Pedder family also got in on the winning act.

Barry's daughter, Katrina Pedder won the WI Rose Bowl for cookery, domestic and decorative and granddaughter, Lucy won The Meritt Cup, 8-10 years.
