There were tasty treats and a petting zoo for families who enjoyed a whale of a time while helping to raise cash for a new cafe at Hemel Food Garden.

The Hemel Food Garden Festival, organised by the Sunnyside Rural Trust, took place on Saturday and included sets from local artists.

A trust spokesman said: “We’d like to thank all our volunteers and sponsors who donated their time and equipment and, of course, the wonderful bands and musicians who played for free. It was a fantastic day and the feedback from bands, volunteers and customers was all brilliant.”

Sunnyside Rural Trust provides work skills to over 130 adults with learning disabilities over three sites in Dacorum.

The next event at Hemel Food Garden will be Christmas Wreath Making workshops on December 3.
