Thanks to the kind donations and support from people in the community a youngster who suffers with Down’s Syndrome and epilepsy can now join his family on bike rides.

Scores of people attended a fundraising event to raise money to pay for a wheelchair and bike combo for Jack Gatehouse from Lindlings in Hemel Hempstead.

The Voice For Jack appeal has so far raised £14,000 and Jack’s dad Peter Gatehouse has said a big thank you to all the people who made it happen.

He said: “No longer does he have to sit by the window and watch me and his sister Molly go off without him. Thank you everyone who was part of this fantastic journey to give Jack a much better quality of life. You all deserve a massive pat on the back!”
