Police are hunting a flasher who exposed himself to a woman.

The indecent exposure happened in the Adeyfield area of Hemel Hempstead at 8.20am yesterday morning (Tuesday).

A woman was walking along an alleyway that leads from Turners Hill to Wood Lane at the rear of the Paradise Industrial area.

A man exposed himself to the woman, who then ran off.

He is described as white, of skinny build, in his 20s or early 30s, wearing a dark coloured hooded top, a dark jacket and dark trousers.

He also had a scarf covering the lower part of his face.

Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant Paul Hedges said: “There have been some rumours locally that the victim was assaulted during this incident, but I’d like to reassure people that this was not the case.

“No physical contact was made and the victim was uninjured, although she was shaken by what happened.

“I would like to hear from anyone who believes they may have seen the incident take place or saw the man loitering in the area around the time of the offence.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101 citing crime reference number D1/14/3874.

Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
