A community group working together to create a future plan for Grovehill is one step nearer to achieving its goals after being granted Neighbourhood Forum status.
Dacorum Borough Council approved the Grovehill Future Project’s aims to produce a neighbourhood plan – focusing mainly on Henry Wells Square – which will be adopted by the local authority and become part of the borough’s planning framework.
Chairman Mike Devlin said: “We are really pleased to get official approval of the forum which means we can take the Neighbourhood Plan forward. We have lots of aspirations and ideas for the future of Grovehill.
“We are always looking for new members, especially young people who would like to join the group and help shape the developments in Grovehill.”
Other areas in Dacorum have the opportunity develop their own plans under new powers introduced as part of the Localism Act 2011.
