David Barnsdale second memorial football match

David Barnsdale second memorial football match

Hundreds of spectators showed their support for the second memorial football match in memory of fallen soldier David Barnsdale.

The event at Tring Corinthians FC in Icknield Way on Sunday raised £2,600 for Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Forces Help.

About 300 people turned out to watch friends, family and soldiers play in a mini tournament, which was followed by a fundraising charity auction.

David’s dad Steve said: “It was a terrific day. A big thank you to all involved.”
