Cycle Chilterns is offering youngsters the chance to learn some funky off-road tricks at Aston Hill in Wendover this February.

The free mountain bike skills course is open to those aged between 10 and 16 and is on both Tuesday, February 18 and Wednesday, February 19 between 10am and noon.

Children will be taught on a brand new pump track – a man-made mountain bike trail built in a continuous loop enabling you to ride it without pedalling – designed to build up the riders’ confidence until they’re ready to take on bigger jumps.

The introductory course will demonstrate to riders the technique of ‘pumping’ – a way to gain extra speed on a bike by using the transitions of the ground to gain speed.

Places are limited so parents are encouraged to call Ian on 07711 638195 or email ian@firecrestmtb.com to guarantee their child a place.

More information can be found at www.cyclechilterns.co.uk.
