Dacorum Borough Council has proposed changes to the way it licenses sex establishments – and it wants your views.
The local authority’s sex establishment licensing policy and conditions are reviewed every three years, and the latest proposals are under public consultation until November 1.
The policy sets out conditions that should be taken into account when making a decision on an individual application for a sex establishment licence, which could include sex shops and sexual entertainment venues.
Licensing and health and safety committee chairman Allan Lawson said: “We consider each application on its own merits, but clear policy guidance such as this helps ensure consistent and transparent decision-making.”
