Police are appealing for a dog walker, who may have seen three suspected burglars, to come forward.

Officers think a woman, who was walking her dog in Leavesden Country Park in Abbots Langley, could have seen the burglars making off through the area.

They are wanted in connection with two burglaries that took place in the village on Tuesday.

A laptop, jewellery, a phone and a video camera were stolen from a house in Balmoral Road between 9.15am and 3.30pm after intruders got inside through an open window.

Then between 1.30pm and 1.45pm someone smashed the window of a house in Heather Close.

PC Joanna Price said: “I believe a female dog walker may have seen the three male suspects.

“One was on a bike making off over Leavesden Country Park behind Heather Close at around 1.45pm. If you were out walking your dog at this time, please contact me as I believe you may have vital information as part of my investigations.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Price on the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number C2/12/2229 or C2/12/2231, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
