The team from community broadcast set-up Radio Dacorum jumped at the chance to take to the water ahead of a stint helping another good cause this weekend.
A packed programme of acts will be featured at the Lion Fest charity music festival at the Red Lion pub in Nash Mills on Saturday.
Music starts at noon and organisers are promising a barrage of exciting activities, stalls and food.
ReachOut Plus operates in Herts and Beds and supports people – especially the young and those with disabilities – to overcome exclusion and discrimination, develop skills, broaden experience and achieve potential.
The charity is best known for its Enable and Waterways Experience projects, run from a canal base opposite the Red Lion.
And because the Radio Dacorum will compère the festival and broadcast live from the venue throughout the day, the charity offered them an awayday adventure to say thanks.
The charity’s Lewis Bridge said: “Lion Fest is definitely one for all ages. We wish to raise awareness of our charity within the local community, thank those who have helped us throughout the year and have a great time whilst enjoying the atmosphere of some fantastic live music.”
