Buy an extra gift to spread cheer

editorial image

Shoppers are being asked to buy an extra gift this festive season to help being a smile to a child’s face.

Hemel Hempstead’s Salvation Army in Waterhouse Street is appealing for donations of unwrapped children’s gifts.

Last year its appeal helped ensure more than 70 children in the area had a merry Christmas by providing hard up parents with gifts to dish out.

The appeal is running in partnership with Superdrug in Marlowes, which is the drop off point for presents.

The Salvation Army also needs volunteer drivers on Christmas Day. Contact Christine Woods on 01442 253607.
