Work and play for women in business
Mixing work and play is the magic formula behind a forthcoming women-only networking event.
Events group Women on Top will host exhibits, stalls and expert talks at the West Herts Women's Festival on Sunday, March 29.
The Hemel Hempstead arm of the national organisation planned the free event, at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Redbourn, to lift people's spirits.
Nutritionist and entrepreneur Debbie Gilbert, who runs Women on Top in Hemel, Berkhamsted, Watford, St Albans and Hatfield, said: "The idea of this event is to celebrate being a women in west Herts, about women pulling together to support each other and having some fun.
"Its a tough climate out there at the moment and I wanted to organised a non profit making event to lift peoples spirits."
Women on Top offers alternative to traditional networking events for women by 'blurring the boundaries between work and play'.
A spokesman said: "We focus on self-development and relationship building.
"It's social networking for businesswomen but its a less formal and more natural way to network."
The West Herts Women's Festival will also be running a raffle to raise money for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.
