Entrepreneurs from across the county have until next Thursday, May 1, to enter this year’s FSB Hertfordshire Business Awards.
Pam Charman, chairman of the Hertfordshire branch of the FSB, said: “We’ve had a stunning response to the awards, which will showcase the vibrant small businesses community across the county.
“We’ve decided to give people a few more days so we can gather even more examples of business brilliance.”
In 2013, the winner of the Dacorum Business of the Year was Treelife Ecological Tree Surgeons.
Tim Wise, director of Treelife, said: “Being voted Dacorum Business of the Year was just fantastic and testament to the whole team’s hard work and dedication. I am very proud.
“I would highly recommend applying for the business awards having found it to be a rewarding experience that has benefited Treelife immensely.
“Being able to use our winning status has increased Treelife’s profile and has attracted new clients and opened up opportunities for us.”
Claire Austin, managing director of category sponsor Austin’s family funeral directors, said: “Entering awards is a fantastic way of getting publicity for businesses.
“It certainly worked for us, entering awards gives people a chance to focus on their businesses.”
