A 20-year-old business whizz who is not so lucky in love is taking his quest for a girlfriend to a TV comedy panel show.
Entrepreneur Sina Gharib has pre-recorded an episode of the BBC Three programme Sweat The Small Stuff, presented by Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, to air his fears about asking out his glamour model friend of three years, Charley.
The romantic, from Apsley, had recently had his heart broken by a former girlfriend who went on a TV dating show while they were still in a relationship.
Little did the talent and security recruitment agency owner know that show bosses had invited Charley, who lives in Buckinghamshire, to the set to make him sweat out the big question in front of cameras and a live audience.
He said: “I am newly single because my ex went on a TV dating show while we were still together, so a friend of mine invited me on to the show to talk about asking out Charley.
“I was so shocked to see her come out, my eyes popped and I just thought, no way.
“I asked her out and she said she would go on a date with me to see how things go, and now we are organising having our first date filmed for the programme too.”
Sina’s appearance – the second episode of Sweat The Small Stuff’s third series – will air next Tuesday at 10pm.
As well as big developments in his love life, Sina is also working on a ‘scripted reality’ programme similar to the likes of TOWIE and Made in Chelsea for MTV. He has already filmed scenes in his Apsley home but is keeping details under wraps for now.
