Leverstock Green WI won the Best Dressed Stall rosette at the Leverstock Green village fete on Saturday, July 11.

With the fete’s theme of Fantastic Flags, members had dressed the stall with handmade bunting with the letters of their group’s name individually sewn on to each flag.

Leverstock Green Playgroup and Heart to Herts won the Award of Merit rosettes.

The judges were Deputy Lieutenant Jo Connell, chairman of the Hall Management Committee Margaret Rayner and chairman of the Leverstock Green Village Association Audrey Weightman.

A large number of Fantastic Flags made by Iris Parish and Sue Brind adorned the village association stalls and any available railings, greatly adding to the spectacular colour.

With perfect weather for the occasion, the fete was very well attended, with entertainment from the Powerhoop class, Leverstock Green School Dance Club, Leverstock Green Players and Dacorum Community Choir, a display of model trains in the Main Hall and the annual Dog Show.
