A children’s author who suffers from alopecia has raised more than £750 to help others who suffer from the hair loss condition by completing four hours of expressive dance.
She said: “It went really well. I had lots of wonderful support from people of all ages from as old as 85 to as young as four.”
The 51-year-old, of Lincoln Court, Berkhamsted, is an ambassador for Alopecia UK and suffers from the hair loss condition herself.
She has now launched the Be a Writer quiz for children from Berkhamsted’s Westfield School and Greenway School. They will pay £1 to enter and will have to fill in a missing word from a sentence in one of her books. The money will go to Alopecia UK and the writer of the most creative word will be given a signed copy of one of her books.
