'˜Amazing smile' wins Casey award

Casey Ann Bird, who has worked at Water Mill House care home, in Hemel Hempstead, since last year, was presented with the award at a ceremony at the home on November 29.

The Heart of Gold Awards recognise employees for their dedication and commitment in providing high-quality care and compassion to the home’s residents.

Home manager Christine Thomson said: “Everyone who works in a care home has a passion to care.

“Casey is a shining example of someone who, whilst not directly providing care, puts our residents and team at the forefront of everything she does – and all with the most amazing smile.

“We are delighted she is this year’s Heart of Gold Ambassador. Well done, Casey.”

To commemorate her success, Casey was presented with a Tiffany necklace by Alnur Dhanani, chairman of Carebase, the company that owns Water Mill House.
