Village flowers will bloom despite cutbacks

Kings Langley parish council may pick up the bill for flowerbeds that were lost to budget cuts.
Dacorum Borough Council has slashed its budget for plants across the area, including two beds at Great Park and a third at Abbots Rise.

At a parish council meeting on Tuesday, October 7, councillors agreed to take on responsibility for the plants.

Councillor Alan Anderson said: "We need to write to Dacorum Borough Council and register our interest in maintaining them straight away before they're grassed over."

Council clerk Paul Dunham is now looking into how much the move is likely to cost.
