The blaze happened at about 11.15pm last night in Parkfield at the rear of a terraced house.

Firefighters called to the incident used hoses to tackle the flames in the shed, described as 'well alight'.

The fire was over at about midnight and one person was given first aid at the scene, a spokesman for Herts Fire Service said.
