Pub brawl trio 'should be ashamed' says judge
A judge has told three Hemel Hempstead men they should be ashamed of themselves after starting a pub brawl in which staff were injured.
The trio were drinking in The Fishery Inn, Hemel Hempstead, on November 1 last year when they became rowdy and upset other customers, St Albans Crown Court was told.
Stuart Davis, 28, of Leys Road, Jimmy Wood, 26, of Pelham Court, and Steven Peppos, 25, of Reddings, threw punches at the pub manager and his staff when asked to leave.
All three pleaded guilty to affray.
Sentencing, Judge John Plumstead said they should be ashamed of themselves.
He added he would curtail their liberty to punish them and protect people who 'want to enjoy licensed premises without three drunk people making a nuisance of themselves.'
Each of them received a community order for two years, with Wood also given a supervision order for three years.
They have been barred from The Fishery Inn for two years and from all pubs for six months, as well as being curfewed to their home addresses between 7pm and 5am for six months.
They must also pay £330 compensation each, which will be divided between the four victims.
