Friday, November 10: A PLUMBER working for Dacorum Council died after suffering an electric shock while working at a home in Hemel Hempstead.
Ben Richardson, 29, died from his injuries after he 'ruptured' the electric supply cable at a home in Jarman Close yesterday (November 9).

Mr Richardson had worked for the council since 1997 and was part of the housing repair staff.

The Healt
h and Safety Executive is investigating the death.
A spokesman said: "The incident involved a council employee who was carrying out works at a home in Hemel Hempstead.

"He inadvertently ruptured the electric supply cable to the house and died from his injuries as a result of electric shock."

Director of Community Partnerships and Housing at Dacorum Borough Council Jacquie Campbell said: "Ben was a real character with a great sense of humour. He was popular with tenants and hugely liked by his workmates. His untimely death has shocked and saddened all his colleagues at the council and he will be very much missed. Our thoughts are with his family."
