Police would like to speak with witnesses after a drugs package was thrown over the wall of The Mount prison, near Hemel Hempstead.

Three people drove past the Bovingdon prison in a Blue Audi TT at around 3.40pm on Thursday, June 26.

They were seen in the Chesham Road area before the cannabis package, later recovered by prison staff, was thrown over the wall.

Detective constable Phil Freebrey said: "The area where the car was is a residential one, so people may have seen something or have some information to help us.

"In particular, we are keen to speak to a woman who made the prison aware of the incident, but did not leave her contact details. We would strongly urge her to get in touch."

Anyone with any information on these crimes should ring DC Freebrey on the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
