Highways chiefs are warning of possible delays following changes to the lane system in the M1 roadworks.
From today (Friday, May 16) the two southbound lanes at Hemel Hempstead have been diverted from the main carriageway onto a newly-built section, rejoining the motorway just south of J7.

Access to and from the M1 at J7 and J8 is not affected but there may be occasional diversions overnight.

The southbound contraflow lane and northbound traffic are not affected and the changes are expected to be in place for three to four weeks.
