A builder suffered a serious injury in Berkhamsted after a heavy metal bucket from a digger fell on his foot.
The construction worker was at a building site in the town yesterday morning (Wednesday) when the accident happened.

Paramedic Andy Palmer, who was called to the accident from his base in Tring at about 8am, said: "The man had a significant injury to his foot and due to this, a pain relieving drug was administered to make him comfortable."

Mr Palmer said the casualty was then taken to Watford General Hospital.
