Beauty drop-outs will miss out on fame

THE chances of the Miss Hertfordshire crown coming to the area have decreased as two hopefuls have dropped out of the finals.

Alison Savage, aged 23, and Sophie Wadmore, aged 20, both from Hemel Hempstead, have dropped out of the final, which is due to take place on Sunday, March 18 at The Blakemore Hotel in Little Wymondley near Stevenage.

Alison pulled out after getting cold feet about being on stage in front of a huge audience and all the possible publicity the event could send her way, while Sophie had to withdraw for personal reasons.

The two will miss out on the opportunity of being in the limelight as the beauty pageant is known for being a path to fame. The winner will have automatic entry into the final of Miss England, win modelling contracts and could appear on television.
