Kings Langley parish council will fight plans to deprive the village of a vicar.
Councillors have agreed to write to the St Albans diocese appealing for a full-time vicar to replace Rev Peter Stearn when he retires from All Saints Church next month (May).

If a Kings Langley vicar is not put in place, the village will become a shared ministry with several parishes in Hemel Hempstead.

The diocese made the decision because of a lack of Church of England vicars.
