Talented students at Kings Langley School wowed audiences at their cabaret show last Thursday and Friday and one young songstress even brought a tear to headmaster Gary Lewis' eye.

More than 200 students from the Love Lane school took part in the annual show, enjoyed by parents and teachers.

They performed pieces inspired by Stomp, the school jazz band played and there were even magic and clown acts.

Teacher Joy Mendelsohn said: "It was brilliant and one performer Hannah Stilman, who sang On My Own from Les Mis, made the head cry."

Students from Year 7 to 13 performed in 34 acts each night. It was the first of the school's big annual concerts, which includes the summer show and Christmas concert.

Also this year, 44 of the school's music students will be jetting off to do a tour performing around Prague.
