Kings Langley Primary School's May fair raised a record £5,500 to boost school funds.
The crowds took advantage of the weather to enjoy an array of entertainment from maypole dancing to tackling the 80ft high climbing wall provided by Kings Langley Building Supplies.
Firefighters gave a demonstration of tackling a chip pan fire and two ponies gave sterling service all afternoon, providing rides despite the heat.
There were contributions from the school's choir, orchestra and musicians.
The funds raised are earmarked for improving the school's outdoor learning environment, including work on the school grounds and providing an outdoor classroom.
